ELEANOR FORRESTER (nee SIEMENS) 1909 - 2001 Eleanor Forrester (nee Siemens) passed away at Berkeley Extended Care Centre in White Rock, BC, Friday, January 19, 2001. Eleanor was born in Renata, BC but raised and schooled in Manitoba. Eleanor carried out a successful teaching career in Winnipeg. Her strong will and her soft heart made her an effective teacher of children with learning disabilities. When she was 63 years of age, Eleanor married Mr. Bill Forrester in 1972 and retired two years later to start a whole new life. Eleanor outlived her husband, and most of her family and friends. Eleanor was one of a family of eight siblings. She is survived by sisters, Dorothy (Bill) and Renata, and by many nieces and nephews; stepchildren and step-grandchildren. Although she had a soft side, most of us knew her as fiesty and formidable. Eleanor left her mark on many. A special thanks to the staff at Berkeley for their wonderful care. Funeral service to be held on Friday, January 26 at 2:00 p.m. in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 14615-16 Ave. (North Bluff Rd.), White Rock. Pastor Dave Hauser officiating. Friends may pay their respects prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Donations to the charity of your choice in Eleanors memory would be appreciated. CHAPEL HILL604-531-4222
